Citing inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace NBC has terminated Matt Laurer. Laurer who hosted the “Today” show termination was announced live on the telecast Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.
According to a memo sent to the staff from the President of NBC, a complaint was received on Monday evening regarding Laure’s inappropriate (sexual) behavior in the workplace. His behavior violated policy in the workplace and it was believed not to be his first offense. That kind of behavior was not to be tolerated in the workplace and his contract has been terminated.
Laurer was the host of the Today show for more than 20 years and was the successor to then host Bryan Gumble.
Laurer is the latest Media personality to lose his job following a host of other terminations to include Bill O’ Reilly, (earlier this year) and as of late Charlie Rose.
