RIP Gregg Allman: 1947-2017

Gregg Allman, the keyboard player and front man for the legendary Rock group, the Allman Brothers has passed away.

The Band out of Georgia had hits such as,” Melissa, Midnight Rider” and their classic, “Whipping Post”.

The band was founded in 1969. Gregg stepped up to front the band after the tragic death of his Brother Duane from a motorcycle accident 1971 and remained with the group until they disbanded in 2014.

He passed away peacefully at his home in Savannah, Georgia from complications of liver cancer. Allman was 69.

Allman’s last release is scheduled for September of this year.

He will surely be missed.
