Senator Raphael Warnock retains his Seat in runoff

Senator Raphael Warnock retains his Senate seat in his runoff election against Republican Hershel Walker.  The runoff was required because neither candidate had 50% of the vote but there were three candidates running for the office.

The third candidate, Libertarian Chase Oliver had only 2.1 % of the votes in the first election back in November, but didn’t qualify to advance any further.

With more damaging information against Walker came out it was suprising he received that many votes, but he got votes because he was simply the Republican candidate.

The final tally was Raphael Warnock with 51.4% with 1,816.096 votes and Walker with 48.6% with 1,719.483 votes.

Congratulations Georgia. It’s taking time, but you’re heading in the right direction.
